What the research says
RTINGS tested 65 inches and reports high brightness, but narrower viewing angles and slower pixel transitions. Its USB-C display input lacks VRR; use HDMI for that feature.
The upgrade test: name the problem first
If the current television looks washed out during daytime viewing, first check whether the problem is ambient light or a bright window reflected directly in the panel. Those are different problems. RTINGS finds strong brightness on U8QG, but direct reflections remain visible. An upgrade works better when you know which limitation it addresses.
If you mostly watch in the evening, ask whether better HDR impact is worth the current price gap. Do not pay for an impressive peak-brightness advertisement without checking an independent review of the exact model. Panel behavior, local dimming and processing all matter.
Choose the interface after the picture requirements
The two Google TV models and the Fire TV model give you different home-screen routines. Check that your must-have apps are available in your region. If you already use an external streamer, the built-in interface may be less important than picture quality and inputs.
Compare television-only offers first. A soundbar, extended service plan or accessory bundle changes the purchase total. Treat a bundle as separate items you actually want, not an automatic discount.
A QLED screen can still be the wrong fit
A quantum-dot color layer does not establish wide viewing angles, good reflection handling or fast pixel transitions. These LCD examples have limits from side seats. For a wide sectional, inspect the exact viewing-angle test or compare the OLED path before buying.
Mini-LED describes the backlight, while QLED describes the color technology. They can appear together. Local dimming can improve dark scenes, but the number or size of LEDs alone does not establish subtitle-halo performance.
Gaming: count the connections you will use
List your console, PC, soundbar and other HDMI devices. Check which inputs support the desired resolution and refresh rate, and which one your audio connection uses. A maximum PC refresh figure is not a promise that every game or console runs at that rate.
For U8QG PC use, the independent review notes that VRR is unavailable through its USB-C display input. For U65QF, inspect the reported VRR behavior around 71Hz. These specific limits are more useful than calling every high-refresh QLED a gaming winner.
Older models need a price reason
These are identified 2025 configurations, not a newest-model list. The Hisense reviews identify newer replacements. Compare current alternatives when their delivered prices are close, and verify the selected size, model suffix, condition and seller.
Check stand width, furniture capacity, wall-mount compatibility and delivery/return arrangements for the exact 65-inch offer. Do not transfer another size’s dimensions or a bundle photograph’s accessories to your purchase.

Which is the best 65-inch QLED here?
Start with your room and price gap. The entry options address a cost-conscious purchase with different platforms; U8QG is the brightness upgrade to investigate. There is no universal winner for every seat, reflection and gaming setup.
Why is Samsung absent?
This is a focused shortlist of verified TCL and Hisense configurations, not a market-wide ranking. Their inclusion does not establish superiority over Samsung or every current QLED.
