Bagless self-emptying robot vacuums for pet hair, compared on what the dock really holds and saves
If you have a shedding dog or cat and you are tired of buying dock bags, start with the Yeedi S20 Infinity. Vacuum Wars measured 100% pickup of pressed-in pet hair and zero hair wrap on its brush, and its bagless dock uses the same OmniCyclone design as ECOVACS’ X11 flagship. Step up to the ECOVACS X12 OmniCyclone if cords, socks and pet toys litter your floors: it avoided 23 of 24 obstacles in Vacuum Wars’ runs. The Yeedi C14 Pro Plus is the lower-cost, vacuum-only way into a bagless dock. One thing the marketing leaves out: going bagless saves less money than brands claim, and it swaps bag changes for bin and filter cleaning.

What going bagless really saves
Brands sell bagless docks on savings. MOVA and Eureka both quote a yearly saving for their bagless docks: MOVA for the V70’s tank, and Eureka for the E20 Evo Plus, based on its own market research. We checked those claims against the bag ratings that bagged-dock makers publish. The table converts each rating into bags per year, as rated and at twice the rate for a heavy-shedding pet.
| Bagged dock | Rated capacity per bag | Bags a year, as rated | Bags a year, pets at 2x | Official bags (brand store, Oct 19, 2026) | Source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|

Bags a year = 365 ÷ rated days, then doubled for the pet column. Official bag packs: Roborock US store and Narwal US store, checked October 19, 2026. We show no prices; prices change, so enter today’s pack price in the calculator below.
What the arithmetic shows. A Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 rated at 65 days per bag uses about 5.6 bags a year, roughly one 6-pack of official bags. Even if your dog doubles the fill rate, that is about 11 bags, or two packs. For MOVA’s yearly savings figure to hold, each of those bags would have to cost far more than official 6-packs on Roborock’s own store cost per bag when we checked on October 19, 2026. Put another way, the claim needs about 35 bags a year at brand-store pricing: a full bag roughly every 10 days.
The trade you are really making. Bagless docks hold less. The bagless models here are rated for 45 to 60 days (MOVA’s 100 days comes from a single test), while bagged docks are rated for 7 weeks to 4 months. So you will empty a bagless bin more often, and you will handle the dust when you do. What you gain is no bag to run out of, less waste, and a bin you can rinse. If you want to never touch the dirt, a bagged dock suits you better.

The picks, and who should skip each one
01 / Start here: flagship-level hair results with a bagless dock
Yeedi S20 Infinity
S20 Infinity · bagless OmniCyclone-type dock · 2025
Yeedi is ECOVACS’ lower-priced brand, and the S20 Infinity shares its bagless dock and roller mop with the ECOVACS X11. Vacuum Wars measured 100% pickup in its pressed-in pet-hair test (2.5-inch hair, against an 82% category average) and 0% hair wrap on the brush with 7-inch strands. It also recorded 2.47 kPa of suction, 24 CFM of airflow and about 2,740 square feet per charge.
Who it’s for
- Homes with a heavy shedder and mostly carpet or rugs: 100% pressed-in hair pickup and 89% sand removal from medium-pile carpet (Vacuum Wars)
- Large single floors: Vacuum Wars estimated about 2,740 sq ft per charge, against a 1,170 sq ft average
- Buyers who want a bagless dock without paying ECOVACS flagship prices
Who should skip it
- Anyone who wants a dock they never open: Vacuum Wars found hair caught between the cyclone unit and the bin housing, which took removing the filter to clear
- Dried kitchen spills: its lab mopping score on dried stains was very low (37 points against a 108 average), though Vacuum Wars saw normal mopping at home and suspects a firmware issue
- Live video checks on your pets: the app has no camera view
The trade-off: You get vacuum and hair results close to the ECOVACS flagship for less money. You give up consistent lab mopping, and the dock’s cyclone area needs an occasional manual clean-out.
Amazon buying notes
- Listing trap: the Amazon page we opened on October 19, 2026 groups other Yeedi robots under its “Set name” selector, including the S14 PLUS and S16 PLUS, which use bagged docks. Select the S20 Infinity (bagless station) option before checking out.
- The same listing showed a “newer model” notice pointing to the Yeedi M16. Vacuum Wars’ results above are for the S20 Infinity only.
- The listing showed model number DEX99-1 and was in stock when we checked. Yeedi’s US warranty is 12 months limited.
- Yeedi does not publish the dock bin size or days between empties in the sources we found. The 220 mL onboard bin is small (Vacuum Wars cites a 375 mL average), so let it empty after each run.
Where this comes from: Measured results: Vacuum Wars’ S20 Infinity review (updated August 28, 2026), summarized in our words. Warranty: Yeedi’s US returns and warranty page.
02 / The upgrade for cluttered floors and pet toys
ECOVACS DEEBOT X12 OmniCyclone
DEEBOT X12 OmniCyclone · 2026
The 2026 ECOVACS flagship with a bagless dock. Vacuum Wars measured 100% pet-hair pickup and 0% tangle, and it avoided 23 of 24 obstacles, the highest avoidance count among the bagless models we screened. ECOVACS lists a 1.6 L dock bin rated for up to 48 days between empties.
Who it’s for
- Floors with cords, socks, chew toys or pet bowls: 23 of 24 obstacles avoided (Vacuum Wars; the S20 Infinity managed 21)
- Mixed hard floor and rugs where you want a roller mop that washes itself (OZMO Roller 3.0, 15 mm mop lift per ECOVACS and Vacuum Wars)
- Owners who were put off by the X11’s damp-bin reports: Vacuum Wars’ long-term X12 test was more positive
Who should skip it
- Low furniture: Vacuum Wars notes it is taller than average, so measure the gap under sofas and beds
- Anyone expecting no running costs: ECOVACS sells quarterly and half-year accessory kits for it, and the robot bin is only 250 mL
- Buyers who want a long warranty: ECOVACS’ US coverage is 12 months limited, and consumables are excluded
The trade-off: You pay flagship money for the highest obstacle-avoidance count in this group (23 of 24) and a self-washing roller mop. If your floors are clear and you mostly need hair pickup, the S20 Infinity measured the same 100% and 0%.
Amazon buying notes
- The Amazon listing we checked on October 19, 2026 was titled “X12 OMNICYCLONE”, listed the model name as DEEBOT X12 OmniCyclone, and showed it in stock.
- Do not confuse it with the X11 OmniCyclone, the 2025 model. Vacuum Wars measured 51% pickup with 14-inch strands on the X11 and saw dampness in its bagless bin.
- ECOVACS rates dock emptying noise at 75.3 dBA, louder than its 61.1 dBA sweeping figure. Expect a short, loud burst after each run.
Where this comes from: Measured results: Vacuum Wars’ X12 review. Dock capacity, noise and accessory kits: ECOVACS’ US product page. Warranty: ECOVACS US support.
03 / Lower-cost bagless: vacuum-first, no mop dock
Yeedi C14 Pro Plus
C14 Pro Plus · vacuum with bagless auto-empty station · 2026
A simpler robot with a bagless auto-empty station and basic flat-pad mopping. Vacuum Wars measured 94% pet-hair pickup and 0% tangle, and named it its budget-tier pick in October 2026. Its 400 mL onboard bin is larger than the premium models’ bins.
Who it’s for
- Pet owners who mainly need hair off carpets and want to stop buying bags, without paying for a mop-washing dock
- Smaller homes and apartments where a compact station matters
- A second robot for an upstairs floor
Who should skip it
- Cluttered floors: Vacuum Wars lists no dedicated obstacle avoidance, so pick up cords and pet toys first
- Homes with 5 GHz-only Wi-Fi: it connects on 2.4 GHz only
- Thick thresholds: Vacuum Wars lists 20 mm threshold climbing
The trade-off: It sits in Vacuum Wars’ budget tier, well below the upper-mid-range S20 Infinity, and still scored 94% on hair with no tangles. You give up obstacle avoidance and a real mop, so floors need a quick tidy before each run.
Amazon buying notes
- Listing contradiction: the Amazon title we read on October 19, 2026 says “Bagless Station”, but one bullet says the robot empties “into a sealed dust bag”. Vacuum Wars describes the station as bagless with a 1.5 L capacity. Check the station photos and the “what’s in the box” list, and keep the listing screenshot.
- The listing showed model YDLX11-6 in white, sold by Yeedi, and in stock.
- At 3.8 inches tall (Vacuum Wars), it clears most sofas that the X12 may not.
Where this comes from: Measured results and specs: Vacuum Wars’ C14 Pro Plus launch coverage (updated October 7, 2026) and its budget robot ranking. Warranty: Yeedi US support (12 months limited).
Comparison table: all seven bagless models we screened
Pickup, hair-wrap and obstacle figures are Vacuum Wars’ measurements. In its pet-hair test, 2 grams of 2.5-inch hair is pressed into carpet. The tangle test uses 1 gram of 7-inch hair. Its averages across all robots are 82% pickup, 26% hair wrap and 16 of 24 obstacles avoided. “Not published” means the brand or reviewer does not give the figure. “Not captured” means we could not find it in a source we trust. We leave those cells blank rather than guess.

Bagless models we screened and left out
MOVA V70 Ultra Complete: currently unavailable on Amazon
Vacuum Wars ranks it second on its pet-hair list, though its public summary does not give the hair-test numbers. MOVA rates the washable bagless tank for up to 100 days (from a single emptying test, per MOVA’s footnote) and covers the main unit and motor for 3 years and the battery for 1, the longest coverage among the bagless models here. MOVA’s footnote also says “EcoCyclone” is a series name, not cyclonic separation. On October 19, 2026 its Amazon listing (B0GXYGWR6H) showed “Currently unavailable” with no featured offers, so it is currently unavailable on Amazon and we do not link it. If it comes back, confirm the title says V70 Ultra Complete and not the bagged V50 Ultra Complete.
ECOVACS DEEBOT X11 OmniCyclone
The 2025 predecessor to the X12, with the same 100% and 0% hair results in Vacuum Wars’ standard tests. We left it out because Vacuum Wars saw dampness in its bagless bin that made hair clump, and measured only 51% pickup with 14-inch strands. The S20 Infinity uses the same dock design, and Vacuum Wars recorded a much lower water penalty for it (0.20 g against the X11’s 0.70 g).
Eureka E20 Evo Plus
The lowest-priced bagless self-emptying robot in our dataset, with a 2 L see-through dust cup rated for 45 days and a 2-year robot warranty in its owner manual. But Vacuum Wars measured 73% pet-hair pickup, below its 82% average, and it has no dedicated obstacle avoidance. We could not confirm its Amazon listing on October 19, 2026, so it has no link here.
Shark PowerDetect NeverTouch Pro (RV2820ZE)
Its base empties into a bagless bin rated for up to 60 days, then washes and dries the mop pad. Shark’s product page says “Three (3) Year Limited Warranty” but also lists 2 years on parts. We found a Vacuum Wars tangle figure (26%, about average) but no published pickup result, which is too little pet-hair data to rank it. Check which warranty applies in writing before buying.
Before you buy a bagless dock
Read the days rating as a best case.
Every capacity figure here is the brand’s own rating, measured on its own floors. MOVA’s footnote says its 100 days comes from a single emptying test. A dog that sheds year-round can halve these numbers.
Count the filters, not just the bags.
Bagless docks still have a dock filter, and the robot has its own dust-box filter. MOVA sells the V70 filter separately, and ECOVACS sells quarterly and half-year accessory kits for the X12.
Check the robot bin size.
A small onboard bin (220 to 250 mL on the S20 Infinity, X11 and X12) fills quickly with hair. Let the robot empty after every run, or schedule shorter runs, so it does not clog mid-clean.
Look inside the dock once a month.
Vacuum Wars found hair lodged in the S20 Infinity’s cyclone housing and damp, clumped hair in the X11’s bin. A quick monthly check avoids a smelly surprise.
Third-party bags and filters can look like an easy saving on a bagged dock. In Vacuum Wars’ fog test, all but one best-selling third-party filter failed. Our Amazon listing checklist covers sellers, returns and warranty lines.
Questions about bagless docks
Is a bagless dock better for pet hair?
Not for pickup. Hair pickup depends on the robot’s brush and airflow, which is why Vacuum Wars measured 100% for the S20 Infinity and 73% for the Eureka E20 Evo Plus, even though both empty into bagless docks. A bagless dock changes what you maintain. You stop buying bags, but you empty a bin every few weeks and clean the filter and the cyclone area.
How much does going bagless save?
Less than the marketing suggests. Bagged docks are rated for roughly 7 weeks to 4 months per bag, which works out to about three to eight bags a year, or about six to fifteen if your pets double the fill rate. That is one to three 6-packs of official bags a year for most homes. MOVA’s yearly savings claim only holds if a Qrevo Edge 2 owner used about 35 bags a year at Roborock’s brand-store pack pricing on October 19, 2026: a full bag roughly every 10 days, against a rated 65 days. Enter today’s pack price in the calculator above to see your own figure.
Do bagless docks smell or get damp?
They can. Vacuum Wars found dampness in the ECOVACS X11’s bagless bin that made hair clump, likely moisture from the roller mop. It saw much less moisture in the Yeedi S20 Infinity’s bin. MOVA says the V70 dries its tank automatically. If odor bothers you, empty the bin before it is full and let it air-dry after washing.
Are cheap third-party bags a way to cut the cost of a bagged dock?
Be careful. In Vacuum Wars’ fog test of best-selling third-party bags and filters (October 29, 2025), all but one filter failed. Official bags cost several times more than knockoffs, but a bag that leaks fine dust defeats the point of a sealed dock.
Will a bagless dock be loud?
Every self-emptying dock is loud for a few seconds. ECOVACS rates the X12’s dust collection at 75.3 dBA and the X11’s at 73.3 dBA in quiet mode and 78.9 dBA in standard mode, compared with roughly 61 to 62 dBA while sweeping. Schedule runs for when you are out if noise matters.
How we researched this guide
We research; we don’t lab-test. We did not buy, run or measure any of these robots. We screened every model with a bagless self-emptying dock in our robot-vacuum pet-hair dataset, seven in all. For each one we read the brand’s US product page, warranty policy or manual first, then added Vacuum Wars’ published measurements, summarized in our own words and credited. Where a brand’s footnote or a listing contradicts its headline claim, we say so.
Our criteria, in order: measured pet-hair pickup and hair wrap, obstacle avoidance, dock capacity and the upkeep it leaves you, US warranty terms, and whether we could confirm the exact model on Amazon.
The bag-cost check is our own arithmetic. It converts each brand’s published bag rating into bags per year and works backwards from the brands’ own savings claims. We hardcode no prices; the calculator uses the pack price you enter. It is an estimate, not a measurement.
About Amazon: on October 19, 2026 we opened each linked listing to confirm the model. The MOVA V70 listing showed no available offer, so it is listed under “left out” as currently unavailable on Amazon, without a link. We show no Amazon prices, star ratings or customer reviews. Prices and stock change, so check them on the listing.
