Roomba alternatives on Amazon: match the feature you wanted a Roomba for

If you wanted a Roomba Combo for its roller mop, the ECOVACS DEEBOT T80S Omni is the closest non-iRobot match we found: a roller mop on a self-washing dock, with 100% pet-hair pickup and 0% hair wrap in Vacuum Wars’ tests. If the draw was dodging pet accidents, start with the eufy Omni E25, which avoided TechGearLab’s pet-waste stand-in. For a plain self-emptying vacuum, the Roborock Q10 S5+ picked up 96% of pressed-in pet hair from a modest 10,000 Pa claim, but you must tidy first. And if you trusted iRobot to stand behind its robots, the Dreame L50 Ultra carries 3 years on the body and dock against the Max 775 Combo’s 1 year. None of them is a better Roomba across the board; each beats it on one job.

    Q10 S5+ · 2025 · 10,000 Pa claimed · JawScrapers comb brush

Not for: Cluttered floors: Vacuum Wars measured only 6 of 24 obstacles avoided; it uses structured light with no camera.

  4. If you wanted a brand that stands behind its robot

    Dreame L50 Ultra

    L50 Ultra · 2025 · 19,500 Pa claimed · HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush

Not for: Anyone who wants the newest model: the 2026 L60 Pro Ultra climbs higher thresholds and avoided 22 of 24 obstacles.

No prices are shown. The Q10 S5+ has the simplest dock of the four; the other three are full-dock robots that wash their own mops. Check current prices on each listing.

Why people are looking beyond iRobot now

iRobot was sold to Picea in a court-supervised transaction that closed on January 23, 2026. iRobot says support, warranty service and parts continue, and that it has no planned app changes. Our dataset notes that some older Roomba listings on Amazon may be old stock. That is a reason to check a listing’s model year, not a reason to panic. Sources: iRobot press release ↗ · iRobot company update ↗

If you are still choosing between the two best-known brands, our Roborock vs Roomba comparison covers the Qrevo Edge S5A against the Roomba j9+. This page starts from the job you wanted done and looks across the other ten brands in our dataset.

What each alternative covers, feature by feature

We built the rows around the selling points of current Roombas: the Max 775 Combo’s roller mop and AutoWash dock, the j-series’ obstacle and pet-waste avoidance, plain self-emptying, and iRobot’s reputation for standing behind its robots. Three practical rows follow. The Roomba column is a reference, not a recommendation.

The picks, and who should skip each one

01 / If you wanted the Roomba Combo’s roller mop

ECOVACS DEEBOT T80S Omni

DEEBOT T80S Omni · 2026 · 24,800 Pa claimed · ZeroTangle 3.0

The Roomba job: A roller mop on an all-in-one dock, like the Roomba Max 775 Combo.

The Max 775 Combo’s headline feature is a roller mop that its AutoWash dock washes at 167°F and dries. The T80S also uses a roller mop, ECOVACS’ OZMO Roller 2.0, which lifts 15 mm and extends to edges, and its dock washes with 75°C water and dries at 62°C. Vacuum Wars measured 100% pet-hair pickup, 0% hair wrap and suction about 2.5 times its average, and it avoided 21 of 24 obstacles. Tom’s Guide found hair tangled in the Max 775’s rollers.

Who it’s for

  • Hard floors with rugs where you want the robot to mop and wash its own roller
  • Shedding pets: 100% pickup and 0% hair wrap in Vacuum Wars’ tests, against its 82% and 26% averages
  • Embedded grit: Vacuum Wars measured 91% of embedded sand removed, more than ECOVACS’ pricier T90 Pro Omni

Who should skip it

  • Buyers who want more than a 12-month warranty: ECOVACS’ US coverage is 12 months limited, and consumables are excluded
  • Quiet homes: ECOVACS lists dust collection at 70 dBA in quiet mode and 76.5 dBA in standard mode
  • Anyone who wants a bag cost worked out: ECOVACS sells its antibacterial bags, but we did not capture the pack size

The trade-off: You get the Roomba Combo’s signature roller mop plus stronger measured hair results than any test we found for the Max 775. You give up warranty length: 12 months, the same as iRobot’s and a third of Dreame’s.

Newer or older model? The T90 Pro Omni is ECOVACS’ newer flagship, but Vacuum Wars measured the T80S removing more embedded sand. For this job you do not need to step up.

Owners have reported: Vacuum Wars notes occasional mapping issues from user reports (as of October 19, 2026).

Amazon buying notes

  • The Amazon listing we checked on October 19, 2026 was titled “ECOVACS DEEBOT T80S Omni Robot Vacuum and Mop”, showed the model as DEEBOT T80S OMNI and was live. The T80 without the S, and the T90, are different robots.
  • Keep the invoice for the 12-month ECOVACS warranty, and check the seller and return window on the listing.
  • Running costs: ECOVACS’ US store sells antibacterial dust bags, an anti-tangle main brush kit, and optional quarterly and half-year accessory kits. ECOVACS does not state the bag pack size or replacement intervals, so we do not rate its yearly running cost. There is no app subscription.

Where this comes from: Measured results: Vacuum Wars’ T80S Omni review and its best-robot-vacuums roundup. Mop, dock temperatures and noise: ECOVACS’ US product page. Warranty: ECOVACS US support. Max 775 comparison: Tom’s Guide’s review.

02 / If you wanted Roomba-style pet-mess avoidance

eufy Omni E25

Omni E25 · 2025 · 20,000 Pa claimed · DuoSpiral detangle brushes

The Roomba job: Avoiding pet waste and floor clutter, the Roomba j-series pitch.

If you wanted a Roomba because you were afraid of a robot dragging a pet accident across the house, this is the closest match we found. TechGearLab named the E25 its pick for pet owners after it avoided TechGearLab’s pet-waste stand-in, and measured 86% pet-hair pickup with minimal tangling. Vacuum Wars has it at 21 of 24 obstacles avoided, well above its average of 16. eufy lists an RGB camera plus an LED for seeing objects, and a HydroJet rolling mop.

Who it’s for

  • Homes with a puppy, an older dog or a cat that has accidents
  • Floors with toys, cords and socks: 21 of 24 objects avoided in Vacuum Wars’ course
  • Buyers who also want a rolling mop: eufy lists a HydroJet roller with 1 kg of pressure

Who should skip it

  • Homes with thin rugs and runners: TechGearLab says its brush roller ate thin carpets and rugs
  • Anyone comparing hair figures directly: 86% is TechGearLab’s test, not Vacuum Wars’, so it is not comparable with the 96–100% figures here
  • Buyers who want a long warranty: eufy’s US hardware coverage is 12 months

The trade-off: You get the only pick with a published pet-waste avoidance result and a rolling mop as well. You give up confidence on thin rugs, and its hair figure comes from a different lab than the others.

Newer or older model? eufy’s 2026 Omni S2 had the only perfect 24 of 24 obstacle score in our dataset (Vacuum Wars), but early S2 units were delayed for a hardware upgrade, and eufy offered buyers a refund or an upgraded unit with a gift card (Vacuum Wars, January 28, 2026, updated late March 2026). The E25 is the simpler, earlier model.

Owners have reported: No owner thread for the E25 is captured in our dataset as of October 19, 2026. The rug issue above comes from TechGearLab’s testing, not owner reports.

Amazon buying notes

  • The Amazon listing we checked on October 19, 2026 was titled “eufy E25 Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo … HydroJet Roller Mop”, with model T2353112 and the size option “E25 Black”. eufy sells several Omni robots with similar names (C28, S2, E25), so confirm E25 and the HydroJet roller in the title.
  • Check the seller, return window and warranty on the listing.
  • Running costs: eufy sells a “Basic Quarterly Accessory Bundle” for the E25 on its US store. Bought every quarter, as the name suggests, that is four bundles a year, the heaviest accessory routine among the four picks; buying parts only when they wear out costs less. There is no app subscription; the paid accessory subscriptions are optional.

Where this comes from: Pet-waste test, pickup and the rug issue: TechGearLab’s robot vacuum roundup. Obstacle score: Vacuum Wars. Camera, mop and suction claim: eufy’s product page. Warranty: eufy’s US policy.

03 / If you wanted a plain self-emptying Roomba

Roborock Q10 S5+

Q10 S5+ · 2025 · 10,000 Pa claimed · JawScrapers comb brush

The Roomba job: A basic robot that vacuums and empties itself, like a Roomba i-series.

A lot of Roomba buyers just want a robot that vacuums and empties itself. The Q10 S5+ does that, and on hair Vacuum Wars measured 96% carpet pickup and 0% hair wrap, well above its 82% average, from a modest 10,000 Pa claim. Its dock auto-empties into a 2.7 L bag rated for up to 7 weeks, and does not wash mops or refill water, so there is less dock to maintain.

Who it’s for

  • Carpet and pet hair on a tidy floor
  • Buyers who want a small, simple dock with nothing to rinse
  • A second robot for a bedroom floor, where clutter is easy to clear first

Who should skip it

  • Cluttered floors: Vacuum Wars measured only 6 of 24 obstacles avoided; it uses structured light with no camera
  • Real mopping: its VibraRise 2.0 vibrating pad is a lighter job than a roller mop
  • Anyone who wants a long warranty: 1 year limited new, and 6 months refurbished

The trade-off: You get hair results close to the full-dock robots with the least dock upkeep of the four. You give up obstacle avoidance almost entirely, so pick up cords and socks before every run. If avoidance is why you wanted a Roomba, choose the E25 instead.

Newer or older model? This is the 2025 model, and our dataset does not capture its predecessor. It is a different robot from the Qrevo Edge S5A on our Roborock vs Roomba page.

Owners have reported: One owner post on r/Roborock reported that after firmware 03.11.24 the robot drove in zigzags and bumped furniture, and a reset did not help (posted around June 20, 2026, per the search index). It is a single report; we could not confirm how widespread it is.

Amazon buying notes

  • The Amazon listing we checked on October 19, 2026 was titled “roborock Q10 S5+ Robot Vacuum and Mop, 10,000Pa Suction”, shipped from Amazon and sold by Roborock. Confirm “Q10 S5+” with the plus sign: the plus means the auto-empty dock is included.
  • If a listing says Renewed, Roborock’s warranty drops to 6 months.
  • Running costs: at the 7-week rating that is about 7 to 8 bags a year, a little over one of the 6-packs Roborock sells on its US store, the lightest bag routine among the four picks. Shedding pets fill bags faster. Runtime: Roborock says up to 150 minutes; Vacuum Wars’ battery measurement works out to about 250 minutes and about 1,243 square feet. Plan on Roborock’s lower figure.

Where this comes from: Measured results and dock: Vacuum Wars’ Q10 S5+ review. Suction claim, mop and runtime: Roborock’s US page. Warranty: Roborock’s service policy. Owner report: r/Roborock.

04 / If you wanted a brand that stands behind its robot

Dreame L50 Ultra

L50 Ultra · 2025 · 19,500 Pa claimed · HyperStream Detangling DuoBrush

The Roomba job: A warranty you can count on, the reason many people stay with iRobot.

If you would have bought a Roomba because you trust iRobot to honor its warranty and stock parts, length of coverage is the number to compare. Dreame gives 3 years on the main body and the dock, and 1 year on the battery, for US authorized channels. iRobot gives the Max 775 Combo 1 year, with a paid Protect extension. The L50 Ultra also measured 100% pickup and 0% hair wrap, and avoided 20 of 24 obstacles, in Vacuum Wars’ tests.

Who it’s for

  • Buyers who plan to keep a robot for years and want the longest coverage among the four
  • Fewer bag changes: a 3.2 L bag rated for up to 100 days
  • Mixed floors where you want strong hair results and solid obstacle avoidance in one robot

Who should skip it

  • Anyone who wants the newest model: the 2026 L60 Pro Ultra climbs higher thresholds and avoided 22 of 24 obstacles
  • Buyers who need a roller mop: it uses dual spinning pads
  • Grey-market listings: the 3-year term applies to US authorized channels, so check “Sold by”

The trade-off: You get three times iRobot’s warranty on the body and dock, plus strong measured hair results. You give up the roller mop, and the outlets disagree on its hair pickup: Vacuum Wars measured 100%, TechGearLab about two-thirds.

Newer or older model? The 2026 L60 Pro Ultra measured 93.5% pickup and 0% hair wrap, avoided 22 of 24 obstacles and climbed a 51 mm step, the best in its family, though Vacuum Wars flagged excessive water use when it mops. It carries the same 3-year terms. Choose it if you have thresholds; choose the L50 if you do not need the extra climbing.

Owners have reported: No owner thread for the L50 Ultra is captured in our dataset as of October 19, 2026.

Amazon buying notes

  • The Amazon listing we checked on October 19, 2026 was titled “dreame L50 Ultra Robot Vacuum with Dual Laser & AI RGB Navigation”, with model RLL94CE, and was live. Dreame’s L-series names are close (L50 Ultra, L60 Ultra, L60 Pro Ultra, L60 Ultra PE), so match the exact name.
  • Buy from Dreame’s own Amazon store or another authorized seller, because the 3-year term applies to authorized US channels. Keep the invoice, and check the return window on the listing.
  • Running costs: at the 100-day rating, about four bags a year. Dreame’s US store sells an L50/X50 dust-box filter and an accessory kit, but does not state replacement intervals, so we do not rate its yearly running cost. Its “Membership” kits are optional, and there is no app subscription.

Where this comes from: Measured results: Vacuum Wars’ roundup and L50 Ultra review; TechGearLab’s roundup for the second opinion. Warranty: Dreame’s after-sales policy. Bag rating and mop: Dreame’s product page.

Comparison table: the four picks against the Roomba Max 775 Combo

Vacuum Wars presses 2 grams of 2.5-inch pet hair into carpet and averages two runs; its hair-wrap test uses 1 gram of 7-inch hair. Its averages across all robots are 82% pickup, 26% hair wrap and 16 of 24 obstacles avoided. TechGearLab and Tom’s Guide test differently, so we name the outlet in every cell.

What the table shows: each pick beats or matches the Max 775 Combo on the measured figure that matters for its job. None is a better Roomba across the board. The Q10 S5+ is the one to watch: it out-picks most of the dataset on hair but runs into most of the obstacle course.

Does a bigger suction number predict better pet-hair pickup?

Roomba alternatives are usually sold on pascals. The Max 775 Combo itself claims 30,000 Pa. So we checked every robot in our dataset that has both a suction claim and a Vacuum Wars pickup figure: 21 models. The correlation between claimed suction and measured pickup is -0.02, which is effectively none.

30,000 Pa or more claimed

94%

median pickup across 7 models (range 49–100%)

Below Vacuum Wars’ 82% average: MOVA P70 Pro Ultra

18,500 to 25,000 Pa claimed

100%

median pickup across 9 models (range 43–100%)

Below Vacuum Wars’ 82% average: Dreame D30 Ultra, Roborock Qrevo S Pro

15,000 Pa or less claimed

96%

median pickup across 5 models (range 73–100%)

Below Vacuum Wars’ 82% average: Eureka E20 Evo Plus

What the arithmetic shows. The robots claiming 15,000 Pa or less had a median pickup of 96%, higher than the 94% median of the robots claiming 30,000 Pa or more. The two weakest results in the whole set came from mid- and high-claim robots: the Roborock Qrevo S Pro (18,500 Pa, 43%) and the MOVA P70 Pro Ultra (30,000 Pa, 49%). Both also wrapped a lot of hair (62% and 36%). Brush design and how a robot handles long hair matter more than the number on the box.

Why that matters for this guide. It is why the Q10 S5+ (10,000 Pa) sits among the picks, and why we never use pascals to rank. It is also why a 30,000 Pa claim on the Max 775 Combo tells you little until someone measures it on hair.

Models we considered and left out

iRobot Roomba Max 775 Combo

It is the reference point, not a pick. It launched on July 7, 2026, with a 30,000 Pa claim, a roller mop and a dock bag rated for up to 90 days. Tom’s Guide found hair tangled in its rollers, noisy side brushes and mopping residue. Our dataset has no Amazon listing for it, so it is not linked.

Roborock Qrevo Edge S5A and Roomba j9+

That head-to-head is on our Roborock vs Roomba page, so we do not repeat it here. Neither robot is among the four picks.

Roborock Qrevo S Pro

It claims 18,500 Pa, but Vacuum Wars measured 43% pickup with 62% hair wrap on its single rubber roller, the clearest sign in our dataset that suction claims do not predict hair results.

Dreame D30 Ultra

Vacuum Wars measured 61% pickup, 25% hair wrap and 8 of 24 obstacles avoided, weak results for an all-in-one dock.

eufy Omni S2

It has the dataset’s only 24 of 24 obstacle score, and its US listing is buyable. We left it out because of the early-unit hardware delay described above, and because it is already a pick in our pet-hair robot guide.

MOVA V50 Ultra Complete

It has 3 years of coverage like the Dreame, and was the first robot to clear all three of Vacuum Wars’ threshold tests. It avoided only 14 of 24 obstacles, so the L50 Ultra is the more rounded warranty pick. Consider it if thresholds are your main problem.

Shark PowerDetect NeverTouch Pro (RV2820ZE)

The only Amazon listing we found is Amazon Renewed, so we do not link it.

Roborock Saros 20 Sonic and MOVA V70 Ultra Complete: currently unavailable on Amazon

Both Amazon listings showed no available offer when we checked on October 19, 2026, so they are currently unavailable on Amazon and we do not link them.

Before you buy a Roomba alternative

Confirm the exact model in the title.

Robot names are close: T80 vs T80S, Omni E25 vs C28 vs S2, L50 Ultra vs L60 Ultra. Our figures apply only to the exact model named.

Check who sells it.

Dreame’s 3-year term applies to US authorized channels, and Roborock’s warranty drops to 6 months on refurbished units. Look at “Sold by” before you buy.

Read the dock, not just the robot.

Bag ratings (7 weeks to 100 days here) and mop washing change what you maintain. A simple auto-empty dock has less to clean; a full dock does more for you.

Old Roomba stock is not a bargain by default.

If you still want a Roomba, check the model year on the listing. iRobot’s current lineup includes newer models than many older listings.

Our Amazon listing checklist covers sellers, returns and warranty lines in more detail.

Questions about Roomba alternatives

Is iRobot going out of business?

No. Picea acquired iRobot in a court-supervised transaction that closed on January 23, 2026, and iRobot says support, warranty and parts continue. Our dataset notes that some older Roomba listings on Amazon may be old stock, so check the model and year on any Roomba listing.

Will my existing Roomba keep working?

iRobot says it has no planned app changes after the acquisition. We cannot predict beyond what iRobot has published.

Is “Roborock vs Roomba” the same question?

Not quite. That is a brand comparison, and our Roborock vs Roomba page covers it. This guide starts from a feature you wanted and looks across the ten non-iRobot brands in our dataset.

Does more suction mean better pet-hair pickup?

Not in the test data. Across the 21 robots in our dataset with both a suction claim and a Vacuum Wars pickup figure, the correlation between the two is essentially zero. The 18,500 Pa Qrevo S Pro picked up 43%, while the 10,000 Pa Q10 S5+ picked up 96%. Brush design and airflow matter more than the number on the box.

Which alternative has the longest warranty?

In our dataset, Dreame and MOVA, with 3 years on the main body and 1 year on the battery. Eureka’s owner manual gives 2 years on the vacuum. Roborock, ECOVACS, eufy, Yeedi and Narwal give 1 year (12 months) in the US, as does iRobot for the Max 775 Combo. Shark’s RV2820ZE page says 3-year limited but also lists 2 years on parts.

Why no prices or “tested” claims?

We are a research site. We did not buy or run these robots. Test figures belong to Vacuum Wars, TechGearLab and Tom’s Guide, and we do not copy store prices or shopper review scores. Check the current price on each listing.

How we researched this guide

We research; we don’t lab-test. We did not buy, run or measure any robot. We screened the 29 non-iRobot robots in our 30-model robot-vacuum dataset (Roborock, Dreame, MOVA, ECOVACS, eufy, Narwal, Yeedi, Eureka, ILIFE and Shark). The 30th row, iRobot’s Roomba Max 775 Combo, is the reference point. For each robot we read the brand’s US product page and warranty policy first, then added published measurements from Vacuum Wars, TechGearLab and Tom’s Guide, summarized in our own words and credited.

Our criteria, in order: does it do the Roomba job (roller mop, obstacle and pet-waste avoidance, self-emptying, or warranty); measured pet-hair pickup and hair wrap from Vacuum Wars, or TechGearLab where Vacuum Wars has no figure; Vacuum Wars’ obstacle score; US warranty length; and a live Amazon US listing for the exact model on October 19, 2026.

Running costs. Running costs are described in parts and packs a year, from each maker’s stated bag rating or kit period on its US store (October 19, 2026). Where the pack size or interval is not published, we do not estimate it. We show no prices.

The feature finder and the suction check are our own arithmetic. The finder scores the table above with a fixed rule (2 for Yes, 1 for Partly, 0 otherwise). The suction check is a Pearson correlation across the 21 models with both figures. Neither is a measurement.

About Amazon: on October 19, 2026 we opened each linked listing to confirm the model and that it was live. We do not display live store prices or shopper review scores. Prices and stock change, so check them on the listing.
